Over 765 runners, not including kids for the fun run, came out to support the 2019 Mission 10 Race held on Saturday, January 26, 2019. The race helped to kick off the 150th birthday celebrations for the beautiful and historic City of San Juan Bautista. The skies were clear and the weather could not be more perfect for race day. San Juan Bautista Mayor and SJB Rotarian, Cesar Flores, welcomed runners and participants to the City and issued the start for the first races.

The Mission 10 drew in serious competitors as well as casual runners and first timers. Theme teams came out in some really fun and well thought-out costumes. For many, the Mission 10 has long been and continues to be a training ground for marathon runners. For others the Mission 10 symbolizes something else, whether it is to support local youth scholarships, to begin the new year on a healthy start, or whatever fires you up.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, and helped to make this year’s event such a huge success. Thank you also to Mission 10 Committee, Hollister and San Juan Bautista Rotarians, City of San Juan Bautista, Interact Club, Key Club, Boy Scouts, San Benito County Sheriffs Dept., San Juan Bautista State Park Rangers, Hollister Fire Dept., South Valley Endurance, Mandego Apparel, and anyone else we may have missed for ensuring a successful day. We are very grateful for your support of this event, from which we then award the proceeds as local college scholarships and in support of community service programs. Thank you especially to Bill Tiffany for another outstanding job directing the race.
